Project aim: Take care of all communications needs including PR, direct marketing, advertising and general consultancy in order to build greater brand recognition in the UK and USA.
The first task was to produce a detailed marketing plan where every agreed element of communication was mapped out for the following 12 months. This document was built around the company’s key sales priorities and reflected their desire to attract the attention of a very specific audience, television production managers. It’s worth emphasing that having a marketing plan is one of the most useful tools a company can have. With the plan in place I undertook the process of establishing strong relationships between key personnel at HotCam and the media, ensuring they were called upon for commentaries about relevant industry topics. I also instigated the process of producing regular press releases, arranging feature articles and advising on the best platforms for advertising and sponsorship opportunities. In partnership with one of my key copywriters I also started a series of e-newsletters ensuring the company’s news was reaching the right audience.
